DAC4's KIT: I2S converter

The DAC4 is a digital/analogic converter designed to be intrefaced
with the I2S connection port of the CD-PRO2 mechanism.
We had developed this converter with the optimum performnca
of the CD-PRO2 mechanism in mind.
For this reason this converter use one of the higest
performance digital filter / converter available: DF1704 and PCM1704. To
increase the performance we have used 2 PCM1704 in parallel on each channel.
As the other ours project, the power supply stage it's
very fine: for this reason there are a lot of capacitor to better distribute
them on the board. You will find a doble LCL filter to increase the filtering
of the spurius frequency. On every capacitor there are the by-pass 0.1uF
and 0.01uF mounted as near as possible to the related pin of the integrated
circuit. Also the placement of the components is take in consideration
to increase the performance of the system.
On this picture you will find a detail of the converter
section.
When the DAC4 is placed in our cabinet CONT4's
kit and is used with CD1's kit,
it is placed under the CD-PRO2 mechanism in way to make short as possible
the I2S connection wire to better eliminate the cable interference.
The DAC4 is available in some version: base (direct output
from the converter), with operational amplifier and with transformer output.
It's also possible to use our PRE4
with this converter.
The base version of the DAC4 is expecially intended for
who want to use it in connection with a DIY valve preamplifier.
In the picture below you will find a base version of the
DAC4.
Basic performance:

57.200 + some smaller capacitor)

3 different tipe of output: direct from the DAC, direct with
a line transformer (1:1 or 1:2 selectable) and operational amplifier output

Direct output: 1Vpp MAX with 0dB on the CD disc
